PATRICE LOUIS, born on August 30 1953 in Nancy (France).

Since his childhood he has been exploring the art world that became his "universe".

He studied art at the "the Ecole Nationale Supérieure d'Art" of Nancy, inspite of this having learned to paint by himself, he was completlyself-taught.
He also studied and became keen on egyptology.

His very realistic and sensual works were successfully exhibited in his hometown.
At the same time he opened an art restoration "atelier" that, thanks to his ability to restore even the "non-restorable artwork", "received" many old masters' paiting such as Tintoretto, Veronese, Joardaens, etc.

As an art historian, he became an expert in Venetian baroque art.
Since the late 70s he has beeb teaching painting, art history and theory at the "Ecole Nationale Supérieure d'Art" of Nancy.
In the mid-80s he realized a series of hyper-realistic sculptures which were successfully sold in the U.S.
In the 80s he created a series of hand-painted washbasins and bathtubes ("a meeting between art and everyday objects") which became the subject of an exhibition at Batimat, Paris.
In the late 90s he began to realize some decorative frescoes and paintings for public and private clients, prestigious restaurants and the Tantonville Castle.
Since few years he has beeb beginning to create some hand-painted fabrics (each one is totally unique).

Currently, as a painter on glass, he is planning a project with the Consortium of Murano glassmaker.
